The building is just off Mass(achusetts) Ave, but is not visible from the street. MIT buildings and rooms are identified by numbers. The room numbers are separated from the building number by a dash. Thus 3-133 represents room 133 in building 3.

Via Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA):
Via Subway (from Harvard/Alewife):
- Take Red Line to Central Square
- Walk south on Mass(achusetts) Ave toward the Charles River (heading away from Harvard Square) about six blocks. It's a ten minute walk.

Via Subway (from Boston and points south):
- Take Red Line to Kendall Square
- Walk two blocks westward along Main St (away from river) to corner of Vassar St
- Take left at Vassar St and walk several blocks to intersection where Mass Ave crosses
- Take left onto Mass Ave

Via Bus:
- Take #1 bus that runs between Dudley Station in Boston and Harvard Square in Cambridge via Mass. Ave
- Exit at 77 Mass. Ave/MIT stop, the first stop from the Charles River on Cambridge side

Common directions:
- Walk in the main entrance of building 7 at 77 Mass Ave, the 2nd to last building from the river on the left. It's distinguished by the sixteen steps leading up to the four large columns. You might be able to read "William Barton Rogers Fovnder" engraved above the columns. Kresge Auditorium (a small round building) and the Stratton Student Center are immediately across Mass Ave.
- Walk straight through the lobby of building 7 and begin down the main corridor.
- Watch for the sign for Building 3 at your first corridor to the right.
- Take that corridor to the right.
- 3-133 is the first classroom on the right.
- There is a rear entrance, up a few stairs, should you arrive while the meeting is in progress.
